The G&E Hill Foundation is an IRS-sanctioned not-for-profit organization dedicated to the goal of ensuring that no children in need go without hope or help.

A Trip to Haiti - A Real Eye Opener!
"The fierce urgency of now!" We heard it repeated on TV and radio so many times in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina striking the Gulf Coast region in 2005. Initially, much attention and aid was directed toward the victims, the displaced families, affected by the devastating hurricane. The media was consumed by this tragic story. FEMA and other charitable organizations were quick to respond. But as time passed, less and less attention was paid to it and
less financial aid came from these organizations. Private donations dried up as well. Many of the displaced families were left living in cramped trailers without basic necessities, too many were still struggling to overcome.
In August 2005, after we, the G&E Hill Foundation, realized the urgent needs in the Gulf Coast region, we immediately heeded the call by providing relief aid to many survivors of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Our plan was to stay the course for all of the Haiti earthquake survivors, placing our efforts, first and foremost, on the children there that were orphaned by this deadly disaster.
WHY?
It's all about Roots - Family Roots that were broken by the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck outside of Port-au-Prince, Haiti on January 12, 2010.
Your Help Is Needed!
As always, your donations have been much-needed and appreciated!
This tragic disaster increased the number of orphans in Haiti from 300,000 to over 700,000. Our goal was to rescue as many Haitian children as possible that were orphaned by this terrible earthquake -- to save them from lives filled with further trauma and hardship.
What these young earthquake survivors need most of all is a good and safe home environment full of love and nurturing. We are eternally greatful to all of our compassionate child sponsors who helped us reach these children before they turned to the streets.
Sadly, the G&E Hill Foundation's participation in this much needed cause must come to an end, due to the great need and shortage of child sponsors-sponsors that have come and gone.
